If you have any questions please reach out to Mimi Ko (mimiko@renewalcc.org), Josh Lee or Moffet PTO (jmoffetpto@gmail.com).
Offering Statements:
With tax season approaching, we’d be glad to provide a 2025 giving statement for anyone who needs one. Simply email us at office@renewalcc.org to request it. Letters will only be generated upon request.
Communion Reminder:
Next Sunday, we will be taking the Lord’s Supper together. Please prepare your hearts as we remember the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
Bethesda Project:
We’re inviting volunteers to join us in preparing and serving a meal and sharing fellowship with the men at My Brother’s House, the safe haven for men with Bethesda Project’s. We typically meet on the last Saturday of each month – this month we will meet on Saturday, January 31st, from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. Please sign up here. If you can’t come this time but want to in the future, add your name to the waitlist section. If you have any questions, please reach out to Jun, Sue, Joel or Jay at Bethesda@renewalcc.org.
Prayer Meetings:
Join us for weekly Wednesday night prayer meetings from 8-9pm to pray in intercession for the church and the city. For weekly prayer meeting locations, please contact Hannah Jo or Aidan George at prayer@renewalcc.org.
Membership Class:
Interested in learning more about Renewal Presbyterian Church Center City and becoming a member? Our Membership Class is now offered in a three-part format. Attendance at all three sessions is required for membership.
Dates & Times:
• Saturday, January 24 | 10:00 AM–2:00 PM — Crane Conference Room A (lunch provided)
• Sunday, January 25 | 9:00–10:00 AM (before service) — Crane Conference Room B
• Sunday, February 1 | 9:00–10:00 AM (before service) — Crane Conference Room B
Theology Classes:
We’re offering two upcoming classes that explore distinctive beliefs of a PCA church. These sessions are required for those currently taking our Membership Class, but they are also open to anyone who would like to learn more and grow in their faith.
The two topics are:
• Covenant Theology — how the Bible tells one cohesive story of God’s redemptive work
• Complementarianism — God’s design for men and women in the church
Both classes will take place on Sundays (January 25 and February 1) at 9:00 AM before worship in Conference Room B. Please RSVP if you plan to attend so we can plan accordingly.
Renewal Volleyball:
Our volleyball group has been going strong and growing! We would love for this to be an outreach opportunity, especially as many non-Renewal attendees have been joining us. If you’d like to join us, please sign up using this form.
- Location: Crane Chinatown (1001 Vine St)
- Schedule: We meet every Sunday at 4:30-6:30, except for the first Sundays of the month.
Community Groups:
Community Groups are a great way to get plugged in here at Renewal Center City. Our Community Groups have started back up. If you are not yet part of a Community Group, we’d love for you to join. Sign up here! You can also stop by the Welcoming Table for more information or help getting connected.
Moms Group:
Renewal CC Moms Group is a safe space for moms to connect, learn, and grow together through prayer and biblical wisdom. We seek to strengthen our walk with God and nurture our families with Christ-centered love, grace, and purpose. We will be meeting every 3rd Saturday of the month, from 8-9:30 pm at the Franks home in Olde Kensington. Our next gathering is this Saturday, February 21st. We’ll continue our study of “The Gospel-Centered Parent.” Please RSVP here.
My Well Online Giving:
We have launched our new giving platform through My Well Ministry. Please sign up here if you haven’t already and set up your one-time or recurring gifts. Once your My Well account is active, remember to cancel your scheduled giving on OnlineGiving.org. To help maximize ministry dollars, please consider giving through your bank account and combining multiple funds into one transaction. My Well also allows you to cover processing fees so more of your gift goes directly to Renewal. Please email MimiKo@renewalcc.org if you have any questions.
Serve With Us
Welcoming Team:
We are looking for more people to join our Welcoming Team! Our desire is to cultivate a warm and an inviting atmosphere, to make each person feel seen as they walk in through the doors. Please join us in sharing Christ’s love in this way and to welcome people into our church family. Please email us at renewalccwelcomingcommittee@gmail.com and/or reach out to David Lim, if you are interested or if you have any questions!
Missions Committee:
We are looking to recruit more members! If you have a heart for global missions and would like to be a part of supporting and encouraging the missionaries of Renewal, this could be a great fit for you! We are looking for people to join our support groups for our missionaries, to help plan for our annual Missions Conference in November, and to join us for our monthly Missionary Prayer Breakfast. Please email missions@renewalcc.org for more information!
Praise Ministry
If you’re interested in serving on our praise ministry team, including sound, please email praise@renewalcc.org for more information or speak to us after service!
Multimedia
We are in need of volunteers for the multimedia team. If you’re interested, please email mimiko@renewalcc.org.
Bethesda Project:
Renewal has been partnering with Bethesda My Brothers House, a nonprofit organization that provides a Safe Haven, emergency shelter, housing, and support services to the homeless community. We are currently seeking volunteers to serve lunch and share a meal alongside the residents at My Brother’s House. This opportunity takes place monthly, typically on the last Saturday of each month, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. If you have any questions, please reach out to Joel Choe, Jay Garcia, Jun Shin, or Sue Park at Bethesda@renewalcc.org. Sign up here!
PRAY WITH US
Missionary Family
- Pray for God to work powerfully through their outreach Bible study, especially in the life of “R,” an unbeliever who is actively seeking truth.
- Pray for God to open doors into rural Ureached People Group areas through developing relationships, their business platform, and good deeds that reflect Christ’s love.
- Pray for their ministry to flow outward from a foundation of spiritual, emotional, and physical health, sustained by God’s grace.
DIACONATE CARE
If you have any felt needs (physical or spiritual), please contact the Renewal Diaconate (care@renewalcc.org). One of our deacons or deaconesses will schedule a time to meet with you.
- We look to offer the compassion and love of Christ as we meet and pray with you.
- We will walk with you through a process that our Diaconate team has made to see how we can best help you.
- We serve alongside the community of members of Renewal and our leadership team of pastors, elders, and women’s council.
COFFEE HOUR
Everyone is invited to come to the Crane Center 1 hour early at 9:30am to enjoy a cup of fresh-brewed coffee, which will be made available outside the gym. Our hope is that this will provide a comfortable, inviting, and informal atmosphere for everyone to not only drink coffee but also interact with one another and form new friendships outside of the Community Group context. You are encouraged, but not required, to bring your own thermos to minimize the number of paper cups that need to be used.
