• Children’s Ministry Paint Day! Come help us paint and brighten up our children’s spaces on Saturday, October 25 from 10am-1pm! No painting experience necessary. Sign up for a slot on the QR code.
• Renewal Flag Football League- RFL Are you a woman looking to connect with other women? Do you enjoy being outdoors or physical activity? Are you a man or woman interested in running drills, coaching women to play football, refereeing games or supporting women’s ministry? If any of these things interest you, you are invited to be a part of Renewal’s women’s flag football ministry this fall starting September 28th and ongoing for 6 weeks. We’ll be meeting Sundays from 3-6 PM on a field TBD. If you’re interested please sign up here. Additionally, we are currently looking for men and women to help organize and get things up and running. • Lea Elementary School- Opportunity to serve neighborhood kids – The Lea library needs weekly volunteers!  If you’re interested in helping the Lea library run each week, you can read more about this opportunity and follow up with the organizers here.
• Wednesday Prayer Meeting – Please join us for our monthly prayer meeting in the West Philly Sanctuary on the 1st Wednesday of each month, starting Wednesday, October 1st from 7-8pm. Please email Sara if you have any questions: saradls@sas.upenn.edu
• Ministry Fair- Sunday Oct 5 at 12:30pm – Stop by on the 2nd floor immediately after the service to learn more about the different ministries here and see how you might get involved. Whether you’re new or you’ve been here a while, it’s a chance to connect, ask questions, and meet folks from different ministries and committees. There will be snacks provided, so come hang out with us after the service! We’d love to see you there.
• Newcomer’s Lunch – The Renewal Welcoming Team invites newcomers to lunch on Sunday, October 12th at 12:30PM! We welcome anyone who has come to our church for the first time in the last few months. Come out and meet some of our staff, welcoming committee, and other newcomers! If you would like to join, please RSVP by October 5th.
• Children’s Ministry Announcement – The Children’s Ministry is hosting a Family & Teacher Meet & Greet at the Lea Elementary Playground on Sunday, Oct 5 from 4:00-5:30pm. All families and teachers are invited!

• Community Groups – Community Groups meet throughout the week in various locations and are meant to encourage fellowship, love and connection within our church and neighborhood communities and help us apply our faith in practical ways. Some of our groups are pretty full, so we are also looking for Renewal Members to consider leading a group! If you have any questions or interest in our CGs, please sign up or head to our Welcome Table to speak with someone after the service.
• Care for the Fordes – As many of you have heard, the Forde family is walking through an incredibly difficult season. Isaac and Claudia’s 3 year old daughter Ilona was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. You can sign up to help with their Meal Train and/or you can give to the Forde family care fund on Renewal’s giving page. You can select “Forde Family” in the dropdown menu. Finally, there is a Go Fund Me page. This is suitable for people who aren’t connected to Renewal. We are also organizing a group to assist with occasional childcare and household tasks. • Recruiting for Missions Committee – The Missions Committee needs your help! If you are interested in fostering global or city missions here at Renewal, this committee is for you. If you are interested, please click here.
• Children’s Ministry Volunteers Needed – Children’s Ministry is in need of at least 5 more volunteers for the 2025-2026 school year beginning in the Fall. If you are interested in helping out with teaching Sunday School for children ages 6 months through 5th grade please fill out this form.
• Children’s Ministry Director – We are currently looking to hire a part time Children’s Ministry director for our West Philly campus. See our Employment Opportunities for more info. 
• Asian American Christian Collaborative – The AACC is hosting their first conference this October in Northern Virginia. If you are interested in signing up or would like more details click here.
• West Philly Playgroup – A neighborhood playgroup will be moving their playgroup to Renewal’s building on the 1st + 3rd Thursday’s from 9:30-11:30 am. If you would like to join this playgroup or simply meet other neighborhood families, please contact Kyu at kyuboemlee@renewalchurch.org
