our church

Our Story

Renewal Presbyterian Church was birthed in 2006 out of a mono-ethnic church in West Philadelphia (West Philly born and raised!), with a vision to be a multi-ethnic church for our city. As a result of gathering congregants from all over Philly throughout the years, we have launched a new worship campus in Center City in the fall of 2019. So we are now one church meeting across two campuses: West Philly and Center City. (In the fall of 2017, we also helped plant a sister congregation in the Main Line suburbs, Renewal Presbyterian Church of the Main Line, which is now an independent church.)

Renewal is comprised mainly of the age group that is increasingly missing in many churches across the American landscape. Our congregation ranges from college students to young families, with a growing number of children and teens. Of course, all are welcome to visit and join!

Our Vision

To ignite a gospel-spreading movement through multiple local congregations in the greater Philadelphia area and the world, so that individuals, communities, and cultures are renewed in Christ.
